Female Studio Figure Studies II This series of photos actually turned out as an experiment with my first digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 5000. I had originally taken them with the digital camera so the model could have copies of the photos right away, without waiting for them to be developed and printed. So, I took the same pictures with my 35mm Nikon as well, on Ilford black and white film, for my own use. But after spending a few hours with them in Photoshop, and going through all I had to go through to actually get good results, I decided to put them online on their own page. I may post the results of the negative film as well, but they'll be very similar to these. So, this is it -- my first foray into "serious" digital photography. But worry not, I seriously doubt the digicam will replace my 35mm camera any time soon. In my opinion, the digital camera has a ways to go before it can actually replace what a 35mm or larger negative can do (despite what all the digi-fans say). And besides that, I like the alternative printing processes that real film give me. So there. All the pictures on this page are available for purchase.
