What's new at the Axolotyl Studios Web Site Actually, this list is far from complete. I don't have dates or anything recorded for past changes, so I'm going to start the "change page" from the day I moved the site to http://www.visi.com on 3-14-98. It seems like a good date to start, and I can remember pretty much what I've done to the site since then. Note: September 9, 2004: Added a new gallery of Twig the Faerie pictures June 20, 2004: Added a new gallery in the Pulcher Mortis photo gallery of Anna. And hey - Happy Solstice! June 05, 2004: Added three photos of juvenal turtles to the Reptiles Gallery April 26, 2004: Added some new band photos of Rasputina and Murder by Death to the live band galleries March 21; 2004: Added a new gallery of live band photography. And hey -- happy Spring Equinox! January 23, 2004: * Added a new digital page to the fantasy gallery; "Witch Series III" January 22, 2004: * Added a new digital page to the nudes section of studio photos of Christine January 03, 2004: Added photos to the Silent Guardians page Novembre 29, 2003: Uploaded a new page to the portraits section of digital studio portraits of Christine Novembre 4, 2003: Added a new page in the Fantasy galleries; "Twig the Faerie" August 20, 2003: Updated and the "Flowers" gallery, and added a picture to "birds" and "landscapes" June 24, 2003: Added a few new photos to the "Mammals", "Prairie Dogs", and "Birds" pages in the wildlife galleries. June 4, 2003: Uploaded a new page to the portraits section of digital studio portraits of Meg. June 4, 2003: * Uploaded a new page to the nudes section of studio photos of Meg. This is another digital gallery, and I'm finding the more I use the digital camera the more I actually like it. The savings in film costs alone are worth it, and because its a 5.5 megapixel camera it actually makes very nice pictures. June 4, 2003: * Added another photo to the "Wood Nymph" series June 4, 2003: Created a new page of photos I took back in 1999; they are a series of Gothic portraits of Carly. There'll be new additions of old photos soon. May 23, 2003: Added a couple digital photos of carnivorous plants to the Flower Gallery. March 6, 2003: Added a new gallery in the wildlife section called "Winter Wolves." I've also added a photo of a lighthouse to the "Landscapes" gallery. Novembre 16, 2002: * Added a new page in the nudes section. Its another set of studio figure studies, and so its aptly and creatively titled "Female Studio Studies II." I'm sure you very impressed with my capacity to come up with such original names for photo series on the spur of the moment. I know I am. This particular gallery is a first for me -- its the first time I've posted photos taken with a digital camera. An interesting experiment to be sure. Novembre 8, 2002: Added a new page in the Pulcher Mortis galleries. I titled it "Dancer in the Ruins," and its a contradiction of sorts between a "dead" building and a splash of colour that is the dancer. Life and movement meets death and inertia. I've always liked contrasts. Novembre 7, 2002: Added a new page showing the artwork I've created while in art school. It can be seen here: Art School. I linked it to the "info about me" pages; people will just have to want to know me if they want to see my drawings and stuff (its also more of a personal thing rather than a photographic thing). Novembre 7, 2002: Added "Maria" to the portrait galleries. Novembre 6, 2002: * Added a new page in the figure studies galleries titled "Betsy." That's two pages in one night; I'm on a roll (or something). Hey -- who needs sleep anyway...? And there's still more to come! Novembre 6, 2002: Added a new portrait gallery simply titled "Jodee Marie." I photographed Jodee last year, and her's is the first of many new photo galleries to come in the near future. Septembre 5, 2002: Added option to send photos as internet postcards. Right now its only set up in the Nature galleries, but I'll expand it to include some of the people galleries as well. August 7, 2002: * Added a couple new photos to the "Female Studio Gallery" July 11, 2002: Added PayPal© functionality to make purchasing photos that much easier. More updates to come soon. Decembre 20, 2001: Totally redesigned the entire site. This design uses extensive Javascript, and a little Flash (just in the front page logo). I do have more pictures to print and post, so check back periodically to see what's new. Septembre 19, 2001: Posted a new series of pictures in the "Fantasy" pages called "Shades of Mortality." Septembre 17, 2001: Posted a new gallery of Goth pics in the "Fantasy" pages. July 17, 2001: * Posted a new set of figure studies simply titled "Jenn," in the "figure studies" galleries. These were taken on an island in the middle of a lake in southern Minnesota. June 9, 2001: Added a guest book to the home page. This was mostly done as an experiment to find out how to install CGI scripts. Eventually I'm going to have to install a shopping cart, and this was good practice. June 8, 2001: Made many changes to the site that aren't readily noticeable. I switched to Dreamweaver v4.01 from Frontpage 2000, and removed all the Frontpage "bogus" HTML code. I also got rid of the "welcome" page, and set up a secure order form on the SSL server. All told, this redesign took around 12 hours to accomplish, and I have a lot more to do. I also have a ton of new pictures to print, scan and post, so keep an eye on the site for new stuph. Septembre 16, 2000: * Posted a new set of figure studies pictures titled "At the Minnesota River." I also added a few new portrait to the Colour portrait page. Septembre 12, 2000: Posted a new series of portraits of Carly that we took at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Septembre 3, 2000: Posted a new series of Urban portraits on the portrait page. Hopefully I'll have time to print and post some black and white pictures from that series as well fairly soon. August 28, 2000: Posted a new portrait series in the portrait gallery; Tracy. Its been a long time since I've added anything due to my computer being dead for quite awhile (over a month). As I haven't been totally idle, expect more pictures to be posted relatively soon. May 1, 2000: Posted yet another series taken at the Como Park Conservatory. That place is rapidly becoming a favourite of mine! Look for Jenna in the portrait gallery. And, of course, Happy Beltaine! April 3, 2000: Posted a new portrait series after another photo excursion to the Como Park Conservatory on the portraits page. January 31, 2000: * Added three more pictures to the female studio figure gallery. I placed them at the bottom of the page, mainly because they were actually taken before the current photos in that gallery. January 18, 2000: Removed all the funky rollover-like effects. I was using a proprietary Microsoft feature (?) called "hover buttons" that looked really cool but apparently was only really supported by MS Internet Explorer. Anyone using Netscape may have had problems, and anyone using Netscape on Unix definitely had problems. Why can't we all just get along? Eventually I'll replace the text links with something better. January 9, 2000: Posted a new portrait series; Autumn portraits. These were taken at Kordiak Park in Columbia heights in Octobre 1999. Octobre 16, 1999: *Posted Series 2 of "Into the Green" on the figure studies page. There's also a couple new portraits in the Colour portraits gallery. Septembre 26, 1999: Posted (finally) the RenFest 98 galleries on the RenFest page. Today is the last day of the 1999 RenFest, seems like an ironic day to finally post last year's pictures (don'tcha think...?). I also posted a few more pictures in the "Flowers" gallery. Septembre 20, 1999: Posted a few more flower pictures in the "Flowers" gallery. Septembre 3, 1999: Posted a few more pictures in the "Flowers" and "Reptiles" galleries. August 13, 1999: * Posted a new gallery on the figure studies page; "The Figure in the Urbanized Landscape" August 10, 1999: Changed the site to use frames and make everything a little easier to find. This is my first attempt at using frames, so its a new experience and a bit of an experiment. I'm also using "hover buttons" and auto-thumbnails with MS Front Page 2000. So, if there's any problems send e-mail and let me know. July 30, 1999: * Posted five new pictures in the "Sword Maiden" series July 30, 1999: * Posted a new series titled "Into the Green" on the Figure Studies page July 30, 1999: Posted two new portraits in the Colour portraits gallery June 14, 1999: * Posted a new picture in the "Cemetery Series" May 27, 1999: Posted four new portraits in the B&W portrait gallery May 21, 1999: * Posted the "Cemetery Series" of black & white and infrared pictures taken at a local cemetery. They can be found on the "Fantasy" page. April 26, 1999: Posted a series of portraits taken at the Como Park Conservatory in the portrait galleries. March 17, 1999: Created an Abstract Photos page in the Landscape and Misc. Photos Gallery March 14, 1999: Created a * Studio Figure Studies page (later removed), with both * male and * female figure galleries. I also added some portraits to the black & white portrait page, as well as a new infrared picture of the old barn on the landscapes page. And as if that isn't enough, I posted another picture to the * Waterfall Series gallery. Jan. 12, 1999: Did a bunch of stuph: Created an order form for purchasing photographs, added new pictures to the * St. Croix series, * The Sword Maiden series, one more to the Witch Series #2, and a portrait in the colour portrait gallery. There's also more links on the Links page as well, but they tend to grow on their own. Dec. 21,1998: Added a picture to the "Flowers" gallery. Happy Yule! Dec. 20, 1998: Got the scanner working <woo-hoo!>, posted the first of the "Urban portrait" series in the portraits gallery. There will also be an extensive Mn. RenFest '98 gallery and some new figure photography to follow at some point in the future. Oct. 24, 1998: Notice: I actually have many new photos to post -- some more figure studies, a series of what I call "urban portraits," and a bunch from the Mn. RenFest 1998. Unfortunately, my scanner isn't working at the moment and I think it may be awhile before I'll manage to fix it. So, just keep checking back and eventually you'll be surprised by new images. August 30, 1998: Created a new "Enchanted Wood" main page accessed from the fantasy gallery (later removed) August 30, 1998: Posted the "Enchanted Wood Series 2" gallery in the fantasy gallery June 12, 1998: Posted infrared images from the "Enchanted Wood" series; fantasy gallery June 12, 1998 Posted an infrared portrait in the B&W portrait gallery June 07, 1998: Posted the "Enchanted Wood" series in the fantasy gallery June 06, 1998: Created this page June 06, 1998: Posted Heather's portrait series in the portrait gallery May 17, 1998: * Posted the "Woodland Figure Studies" series in the figure studies gallery May 17, 1998: Posted new portraits in the colour portraits gallery April 16, 1998: Posted Deanna's portrait series in the portrait gallery April 15, 1998: * Posted the "Abandoned Farm" series in the figure studies gallery April 13, 1998: Posted a new portrait in the colour portraits gallery March 14, 1998: Changed my ISP provider -- moved from www2.minn.net to www.visi.com July 30th, 1997: First uploaded the WEB site at www.minn.net; hit counter starts
